Are you ready...to be scared

The boys are working that the Lewisburg Haunted Cave this Halloween season. Oh my what fun it is. Opening night is this Friday and the boys are really looking forward to it. If you go you will have to look for the crow that is Coleton, then be careful if you turn around Kelton will be hiding and ready to pull up a scary monster at you. This past Sunday was dress rehearsal and it was to funny. After we were finished we were able to walk through it to see the rest of the cave in action. I remind you neither of the boys has ever been to a haunted house and was this an experience. After working there several time in September helping with the set up and standing outside with everyone in costume it would be no big deal (knowing everything is fake and knowing the people who are in the costumes) so I really didn't think much about walking through it with the boys. Well I was WRONG. Kelton was scared out of his mind. I had to drag him through most of it. So we will see Friday once it is in full performance to see if he can handle it or not. I sure hope so! I know he will be disappointed with himself if he doesn't do it. I know him well enough and I think we will be OK (cross our fingers)

Stamp Camp from Saturday

Saturday I went to a stamp camp and these were the projects we made. I love going to these type of events. Seeing what creations everyone comes up with.

The Christmas card was so simple but yet it turned out great and is really easy to reproduce several time for the bulk card send and so much cheaper then buying boxed cards and you will the honor of saying you made them yourself.

The Happy Halloween card is actually a brag book with 6 pages in it. I absolutely love this project and I will be having a class with it. It was so easy but really cool. What an awesome gift to give someone.

The little basket was made using the new BIG SHOT. You can see more about it on my Stampin Up! web site. http://www.nikkioaks.stampinup.net/. I am really looking forward to ordering mine and being able to share and show it with you.

The blue card was super easy and I can not wait to give it to a friend tomorrow at work. The envelope was made again with the BIG SHOT.

The pretty pink and red card was really cool again. Did you notice the envelope again. Do I need to type BIG SHOT again! This is a really awesome tool to have. The cool part about it, is it can use any type of dies with it and it can cut over 50 types of materials. Anything from paper to fabric, leather to some metals and really it will cut so much that have to look at the list of everything.

The last really cool project was this ribbon book mark. SSSSSOOOOOO simple (Why didn't I think of this). I took this idea an ran with it today. I made several out of materials I have collected through the past couple of years and this is what I came up with. This are going to make fun little simple gifts when needed.

Altered Clipboards

I have seen several of these altered clipboards on one of my favorite sites http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ so I thought I would try it for myself. I am very excited to make more now I have an idea of what I am doing and what to expect of the paper and glue (like seeming like it doesn't want to sick and the air bubbles). I worked on these one Sunday that I had dad home from the nursing home and they actually went together pretty quickly. I will be offering them as a class once I perfect it. So keep your eye out for more on here. I have several ideas now that I am really thinking outside of the box with them. I can't wait to sit down and really play with them.

Saturday I am doing to an upline regional meeting which the supply list for us to bring is crazy so I am sure we are going to have some awesome project to do. Look for those pictures Sunday on here.

This past weekend Coleton and I went camping on Put In Bay with scouts. We had a blast. It was a Boy Scout Camp-ree. Over 1200 scouts from Canada and the US was there. We could not have asked for better weather on Saturday, Sunday tearing down camp was another subject it just poured. One thing I did learn on this trip is a note to self "PACK PILLOW FIRST!" I also know I will never leave behind my air mattress. I didn't want to have to carry it thinking it would be to heavy. Well sore arms for a short time is better then no sleep and sleeping on the sleeping pad (I am still trying to figure out what the point is of it haha)

Coleton and I had another first with Para sailing. I was so proud of him. It was fun to be doing it with him. It is so peaceful up there and we had a great talk while we enjoyed the scenery.
