As Promised...

Supplies needed:

Tombow liquid glue

Emery board

Wood cut out

Designer series paper

Embellishments

Cover wood cut out with Tombow glue. I used a little more then needed just for the picture so you can see it

Glue to Designer series paper and let dry

Cut out and cut as close to cut out as possible

using nail file sand excess paper off. Always file down!!

Continue to file until smooth all over

Once smooth blow off dust particles and decorate.

For these ornaments I put paper on both sides of the cut out. Only do one side at a time .

Use the Crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the cut out to tie a string on to hang

Isn't it the cutes thing and super easy to make.

You can do this to any wood cut out, paper mache' or chipboard.

Tomorrow I will show other before and after things made using this technique.

Aren't these the cutest little ornament?

They are so easy to make. The base of the ornament is a wood cut out bought from any craft store. I chose the stocking 1) it is time to start thinking about Christmas 2) it looked easiest to sand for a make and take project and 3) it is so stinkin' cute.

This technique can be done on any chip board project, paper mache' item and of course any wood cut out.

I will take pictures tonight of how it is done just in case you can not make it to Make and Take this week.

New Catalog Reveal Night

Anyone who knows me knows HOW EXCITED I am about the new catalog that just came out from Stampin' Up! My checkbook isn't. I love love love it. All the new colors that just came out, the colors they brought back from the past In Colors. All the cute new stamp sets that I just have to have. The new Designer Series Papers are to die for. I could just go on and on about this catalog but you really need to see it for yourself. Soooooo contact me and I will more than glad to get one to you!!!

On July 1 I had a catalog reveal party and WOW what an awesome turn out. Thank you to everyone that came by. 21 people filled my house that evening, what an awesome feeling that was for me. When it was over mom and I talked about it and I truly could not take the smile off of my face.

Thank you to Jack and Julie who made this awesome cake for me. It was so yummy and so beautiful. I emailed them a couple of pages from the catalog and they made an awesome catalog cake for us to enjoy. No one wanted to cut it.

The above pictures of the card is the make and take that every could make.

Everyone that attended that night received these cool card stock sample rings. The rings are still available for anyone who is interested for $5 you get a sample of every color of card stock available at this time, plus you will also get the stickers on the back of them to help with inventory. For those that attended if you are interested in the stickers for the back, I have them for $1. I highly recommend them it is very helpful for me to keep track of what colors I have. I take mine apart and put color combinations together and it is pretty cool how well all the colors coordinate so well together. I LOVE Stampin' Up!

I also had a way to earn more ways to be in the drawings one was to bring me a card to add to my display wall and these are the ones I received that night. Thank You Paula, Krista, Amy, Kay, Patty and Robin. I love them all, you guys are so creative.

This past weekend 11 of my stampers (friends) and 2 of their daughters met up with me at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in Dresden Ohio called Sarah’s House. Tina and Steve were the best. Tina made the best Peach Cobbler on Friday night for desert and Steve made us breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. He also made us some chocolate, chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate syrup desert on Saturday night. Steve also played the piano most of the day for us while we scrapbooked. Ok I said we, while everyone else scrapbooked. I planned on doing nothing and I did NOTHING. Wanted to go up and relax and I did.

I have to tell you what I had planned for the weekend and how we played the rest of it by the seat of our pants. I wanted to arrive early on Friday to set up the Breakfast area up in a tropical theme since Stampin’ Up has this wonderful designer series paper pack out called Tropical Oasis, a very cute stamp set called Tropical Party and the Island Floral Stampin’ Up Bigz Die for the Big Shot. As everyone arrived they all had great big smiles on and was just as excited to be there as I was. Everyone that was there for dinner (some arrived a little later) chipped in to help prepare the meal for a very yummy taco salad. We finished off the night with an evening of card making and laughs.

Saturday was a do it yourself day. Some stayed back to scrapbook and others took off for a little bit to shop, I was one of the shoppers. Dinner we decided as a group to go to a little restaurant a couple blocks away. When we got back from dinner it was time for that Chocolate chocolate brownie ice cream and chocolate syrup desert. Some girls went back to scrapbboking for the rest of the evening; I just enjoyed the very yummy Margaritas and relaxed.

Thank You Tiffany, Krista, Paula, Amy, Robin, Kim, Kay, Meg, Trisha, Stacy, Melissa, Sherri and Miranda for making my first Camp Crop-a-Lot the best weekend ever. Dates are set for next year.
