I am back...

When I signed on to here I did not look to see when I last posted...I am way to embarrassed but it is not like I was being lazy and just didn't post- it was...well I just didn't take the time to post. I have had Make and Takes all winter along with club so why didn't I take a picture of the project and post it on here??? uuuummmmm I wish I could answer that without saying lazy but I am trying really hard to come up with another word to use because I really don't consider myself lazy, I got the word I am thinking of...Distracted! I am going to blame it on Facebook, mom, dad, work, Science Olympiad, Scouts and sleep.

Over the winter months quite a bit has happened in my crazy world.

1.I have started dating a wonderful guy-I have known Daryl for several years and a year ago he bought my dad's towing business, as several months had went by with us just chit chatting a relationship developed around November. All is good despite both of our very crazy schedules and he is VERY SUPPORTIVE of my stamping obsession. He knows what I want to do with my stamping business and he is really encouraging me to go for it. With that being said here I am again, posting my first blog in months.

2. Coleton has been competing all winter with Science Olympiad. We have been every where, from Centerville, to Zanesville to Solon back to Dayton to compete at Wright State then off to West Liberty, lets not forget our trip to Piqua then to Columbus for State. If he was not competing, he was at his coaches house building his events or at the school gym practicing. (I am going learn next year to have a card made ahead of time and take supplies with me to stamp while I am waiting and watching him--I would hate to say how many hours I have lost just "waiting")

Kelton--God love him- he has been so patient with all the competitions. I know how long the competitions are and he went to as many as he could. He is such a trooper. Next year he can join the SO team (that means more hours just "waiting" ok Nikki get your stamping stuff ready) He just finished up his 5th year of Cub Scouts and made the transition into Boy Scouts. The exciting part for me was I was able to give up scout leader shirt of 9 years. Pictures to come of crossover.

I am excited to be back to blogging and I am going to try to post before I go to bed most nights, stay tuned

This stamping event is open to everyone! If you have never stamped before, there will be plenty of hands to help guide you. Come and get a jump start on your holiday cards and help a great cause at the same time!

These cards are a sample of the cards available to make. If you like one better then the others you can make multiples of that card if desired. (I have one other cards to show but every time I load it, it comes in sideways and looks stupid so I am going to try to load it later and see if it helps, no it will not let me rotate it lol I have tried)

Since I have the church all day if you would like to rent ($7.50) (it is a fundraiser) a table for the day to make your own cards I will have I will have all the Christmas stamps that I own or have borrowed there all you will need to bring is your own ink and card stock.

I started off as a Hobby Demo just thinking I will get what I want when I need it at a discount. I can see what new things are coming out early and get a FREE catalog every year. Thankful...

Here is it November 12 less than 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving. If you would ask me what am I thankful for I would say:

1. My health

2. My boys (without them I would have more in my checking account but I would be lost)

3. My FRIENDS (without them I would have no one to laugh at)

4. My Stampin Up business

We all know there is other things I am thankful for, I just really wanted to say...

THANK YOU to all my friends and stampin friends. 3 years ago when I started selling Stampin Up I never dreamed it would be like this today. I was hoping to get a couple of people to help me stay active and someone to get together with every now and then to stamp with and spend time together I got soooooo much more than that!! I have the most wonderful group of people (I can't say women because I have Jack that come to class his wife Julia) that come to class every week. Yes it is a lot of work but it really really really makes my day to spend that hour with them. For the ones that come every now and then I love you just as much!!!!! It is such a delight to be surprised by your smiles when you come down the stairs to my Stampin Studio.

This week I had two reminders of why I love my Stampin Family. Tiffany sent me an email RSVPing that she was coming Thursday and in her email she tells me I am her favorite Stampin Up demonstrator she has had. What a surprise that was to see. I don't think I have smiled that big in a long time. Susannah didn't RSVP for last nights class but just shows up to surprise me with her presence. (She has not been feeling well the past few months, so we were not sure when she would be back to class) I was great to see her and she looked great!

To my non-stamping friends---You know how much I love each one of you and I tell you all the time and I would be completely lost with you.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone just in case I don't make it on here to blog again until Thanksgiving is over. (lol you all know me just as well as I know myself)

Now that the "Cave" is over...

As most of you know, the boys and I work at the Lewisburg Haunted Cave. This is our third year doing it and every year it brings on new adventures. It is so much fun to see the boys grow and develop into their character. Kelton is such a ham as you can see. He is not afraid to be in front of the camera. Coleton on the other hand is just the opposite. He hates to get his picture taken.

This year the "Cave" finished FIRST in the tristate http://ohiovalleyhaunts.com. This site will give you our review. We were very excited to get Haunt of the Year.

As you can see the nights were busy and LONG as Kel could not stay awake the whole time.

Getting ready for a fun holiday...

Most of you who know me know that Halloween is one of my favorite time of the year. Both of my boys and I work at the Lewisburg Haunted Cave. I love to decorate for Halloween so this year Stampin Up has come out with these really cool Decor Elements called Spooky Things (120909 black 122296 dark grey $14.95)

I found these really cool glasses at a garage sale event we had at work. I couldn't resist them, so I took the Trick or Treat Decor Elements and added them to the glass. I love them and can not wait to use them.

I found this orange tub at Target (I think) and added the Oct 31 Decor Elements to it. I also cut the swirl like things out of another Decor Elements (I don't have my book with me sorry :(. Ask me if interested and I will get it for you.) to give it a little for detail.

Both projects took about 30 minutes to make. The longest part for me was dealing with my nerves making sure they were straight and in the middle. I hope you like them and I will have a couple more project to show after the weekend. I will be also posting pictures of the cave coming up.

World Card Making Day...

This Saturday October 2 I am holding my first World Card Making Day. I am joining in with other card maker through out the world (hence World Card Making Day). This is going to be a fun day to spend with my fellow stampers.
