Congratulation Emily and Zach

Emily and Zach shared their vows to each other on Saturday July 25th. It was a very pretty wedding. The boys and I was only able to stay at the reception for a short time, we were trying to squeeze as many things into one day as possible and they wanted to see Gaelic Storm at the Celtic Fest (see next posting).

This is the card I made for them. I think it turned out very pretty. I used Very Vanilla cardstock and Baja Breeze cardstock (retired sorry), Velum and the Manhattan Flower embossing folder for the Big Shot. The outside paper was a textured paper from Creative Memories, I think (it was one of those papers you just have to have and know you will use it sooner or later.)

A weekend at Hocking Hills

Have you ever been to Hocking Hills? If you haven't you need to take a trip there. It is breathe taking.

I went with Coleton and the Boy Scouts. The weather was beautiful, not to hot and not to cold. You would have thought it as a nice Autumn day not the middle of July WOW! We were going to go swimming but those plans changed quickly.

There were 12 boys and 6 adults that went and we took a 10 mile hike. The first 9 were easy but before we walked the last mile we took a 5 mile car ride to our last place to see and that was a mistake to ride for a short time. The walk to the Rock house was only 1/2 mile in and a 1/2 mile back to the parking lot but man was it a killer. It was soooo worth all the ouch, ouch, ouch from the muscles.

Enjoy the photos

I have not fallen off the face of the earth...

I want to apologize to everyone. I have been swamped with things at home and I have fallen into a slump (it is just me and my dad situation I promise some days it gets to be more than I can handle). I get this way every once in a while then I snap out of it. So please bear with me. I am going camping with Coleton this weekend to Hocking Hills and I am hoping this escape will pull me through. (fingers crossed)

Happy Father's Day

Father's day is a sad day for me. Yes my dad is alive but he is not the same as he was 3 1/2 years ago. My dad was hit by a drunk driver Feb 25 2006. He lives in a nursing home because of his injuries from the accident. My uncle didn't make it through the wreck he dies at the scene.

While he is very difficult to deal with and it is super sad to see him this way, I cherish every moment I spend with him and do what ever I can to make his life the best it can be.

I wish you a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY dad you are the best dad a person could have. I love you and miss you.

Kelton with Aaron Marcus

Most people know that my youngest son Kelton wants to be an actor and is taking acting lessons. This past Saturday Kelton had the pleasure of taking a workshop with actor Aaron Marcus. Aaron has had parts in Law and Order, The West Wing, other tv shows but I can not think of them right now and he has been in several commercials and he is also a commercial model. The workshop was very informative and has Kelton really pumped and wanting to get working.

These 2 pictures are the only ones I was able to take. I so wish I could have taken more but I wasn't able to.

Enjoy and I will post pictures after Summer Stock. This years production is Jungle Book.

National Scrapbook Day

I first want to THANK everyone that came to my first NSD event. I had a great time and I think from every ones smiles and laughter they did too. The theme was FUN IN THE SUN and I think I am going to keep that theme from year to year. We all had our scandals on and our summerattire, some had some really cool sun glasses.
One of the games we played was "Ask a question." This game was every time your butt left the seat you have to go to the book to answer the next question. After you answer the question you have to ask a question. I could not believe how many times people tried to get out of this. It was really funny to watch people avoid standing. Some of the questions were "Who is your favorite actor?" "When would you like to live in history?" "Would you eat a worm?" "Have you ever gotten anything stuck up your nose?" "If you were an insect what would you be?" and I think the funniest question was "Are you sick of answering questions yet?" I guess you can tell it was really hard to sit still (especially seeing all the yummy food)

The day was full of laughs. I think everyone did something goofy that day but some of them top the cake. The morning started off with Erin getting lost. When I say lost I don't mean like a little lost, I mean LOST. The poor thing turned onto Salem Ave instead of Haney and ended up in downtown Dayton. When I talked to her on the phone I asked what she was close to and she said "I see 75" then it was "I am next to 5/3 Field" I just about stroked. haha. Well we got her to the church. So she wins the MOST LOST award! Congratulations Erin! The next award goes to Robin and myself. It is the DYSLEXIC award. Robin and I were hanging the back drop for pictures and discovered after hanging it that we had 2 panels backwards misspelling Luau Party. (It cracked us up) The MOST STUFF award goes to Patty. This picture is what is left after 3 trips to her car. Jen B won the BIGGEST MISTAKE award. She taped part of her make and take to a scrap piece of paper. (That story is one of those you had to be there stories but believe me we all laughed until we had tears in our eyes) Kay won the FUNNIEST QUOTE award. She was eating this yummy dip that I made and instead of asking "I need this recipe" she said "I need the dimensions for this dip" (Now that is scrapbooking way to much when you have dimensions on the brain)

All I say about the day is WOW and THANKS for an awesome afternoon. I am really looking forward to next years event!

I want to shout out an extra THANKS to Robin for helping me set up and with the clean up. I truly don't think I could have done it without you. THANK YOU Erin for cutting up all the veggies that saved me tons of time. My last THANKS goes to Paula and Krista (neither could make it :( ) for reserving the church for us. It was perfect.
